Dear colleagues
Transferring new scientific findings into daily clinical practice is crucial to continuously improve medical outcomes for our patients. Unfortunately, this successful implementation remains a big challenge. With our upcoming symposium, we aim to illuminate this highly relevant issue from different perspectives. In the beginning, we hear about basic principles of implementation science, before we continue with workshops discussing implementation priorities for Switzerland. In the afternoon, we will learn about principal aspects of human behaviour, ways to behavioural change and the possible role of technical advances including digital therapeutics and artificial intelligence.
A successful implementation into clinical practice often requires the development of certified and commercially available medical solutions for which a close collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, medtech or the funding of start-up companies is needed. During the afternoon, we showcase new digital health start-ups culminating with awarding the «Digital Health Vadian Innovation Prize 2023» for the best presentation/solution. We are looking forward to an interprofessional and interdisciplinary exchange!
